Suzanne Daley Named Professional Services Woman of the Year at Merseyside Women of the Year Awards 2026
Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors is proud to announce that Family Law Partner and Head of Family, Suzanne Daley, has been named Professional Services Woman of the Year at the Merseyside Women of the Year Awards 2026.
The annual awards celebrate exceptional women from across the Liverpool City Region who have made an outstanding contribution to their profession, their communities and the lives of others, while raising vital funds for The Women's Fund and the Merseyside Women of the Year Legacy Awards.
Having become the firm's youngest equity Partner in 2016, Suzanne has built Bell Lamb & Joynson's Family Department into a team of 15 legal professionals. Under her leadership, the department has earned a reputation for providing expert advice across both public and private family law, helping thousands of families navigate some of the most difficult periods of their lives with empathy and care.
Alongside her professional achievements, Suzanne has dedicated herself to making a lasting difference within her local community.
Following her four-year-old son Jonah's diagnosis with a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer, Suzanne continued to lead a growing legal team while supporting her family through an incredibly challenging period. Throughout that time, she drew strength from the support her family received from the Owen McVeigh Foundation.
Since Jonah completed treatment in 2023, Suzanne has become a passionate advocate for the Foundation, working alongside the charity to support families facing the same challenges her own family experienced. Jonah has since become an ambassador for the Foundation, helping to bring hope and encouragement to other children undergoing treatment.
Suzanne has also played a key role in establishing the Bell Lamb & Joynson Foundation, helping to turn an idea into a lasting initiative that now supports and fundraises for four local charities every year. Through fundraising, volunteering and community partnerships, the Foundation continues to make a difference across the Liverpool City Region, supporting causes including grassroots sport, programmes tackling knife crime among young people and charities supporting male victims of domestic abuse.
Speaking about receiving the award, Suzanne said:
"I'm honoured to receive this award, especially to be recognised alongside such an inspiring group of fellow finalists. Family law has always been about supporting people through some of the toughest moments in their lives, and it's a real privilege to be able to do that every day, alongside such a brilliant team.
I feel very lucky to be so well supported by my colleagues and partners at Bell Lamb & Joynson.
Our family's journey has completely changed my perspective on what truly matters. The support we received following my little boy's cancer diagnosis has been overwhelming, and it's that support that has reminded me what I'm capable of - inspiring me to be my best and to bring out the best in others.
I'm incredibly grateful to the Owen McVeigh Foundation for the friendships and support they've helped create, and to every single person who has been part of that journey."
Congratulations to all of this year's nominees and winners, whose achievements continue to inspire communities across the Liverpool City Region.
