Our team includes trained police station representatives and court advocates. This means that we are ready to leap into action to defend you at all stages of the criminal justice system. We can represent you or someone you know:
- At the police station. For example, if you have been arrested or invited to the police station for a voluntary interview under caution.
- While you are on bail or facing a criminal investigation.
- At court.
Our police station representation service is free of charge because you are entitled to legal advice while in police custody. This is the case whether you have been arrested or invited for voluntary interview.
We can travel to be by your side at short notice to represent you, usually within 45 minutes or less (the only factor that affects our response time is distance). Our clients are often from the Runcorn, Merseyside or wider Cheshire area, but we can also travel further afield if you are somewhere else in the UK – so do not hesitate to get in touch if you are not in Runcorn.
We recommend that you do not answer police questions about an alleged offence until we are by your side, even if the police interview is ‘voluntary’. Anything you say could be used to charge or prosecute you and it is common for people to accidentally incriminate themselves without the advice of a solicitor.
We take steps to try to speed up any investigation, challenging the evidence and the police’s reasons for suspecting you at every turn.
Our help often means the difference between a guilty and not guilty verdict for our clients.

Do you know what would happen if you have an accident or are diagnosed with a serious illness that affects your physical or mental capacity? It is understandable if you do not – thinking about a future where you cannot look after your own financial affairs and/or welfare is not fun.
However, no one can predict where life will take them. Dementia, an injury, or simply old age – these are all reasons why you may need extra support in the near or distant future.
Putting a Power of Attorney in place can authorise people you trust to make decisions on your behalf. From managing your bank accounts to making decisions about your day-to-day routine and medical care, your Power of Attorney will ensure that your wishes are respected at all times.
Our Runcorn Power of Attorney solicitors can help you put in place a strong, bespoke Power of Attorney that clearly sets out your wishes and requirements. We can also provide advice about other lifetime planning matters, such as Living Wills/Advance Decisions which set out your wishes about refusing medical treatment in case you cannot decide in the moment.
Making a Will is absolutely critical to ensure that your money and property is passed on to your loved ones after you die. Our Will solicitors in Runcorn can help you make a Will that clearly sets out your final wishes and passes on your estate as tax-efficiently as possible.

We are also able to assist bereaved individuals with probate matters. Our probate solicitors know just how hard it is to lose someone close to you and many of us have been through the experience ourselves. When you are grieving, it can be difficult to also manage the task of sorting out the deceased person’s final affairs.
Our friendly, sensitive team can provide as much or as little support as you need to get the job done. We know that costs will be an important factor to you, and we are completely upfront about our fees (which can usually be taken from the deceased person’s estate). For more information, visit our price list.
We can also offer a free 30-minute meeting to discuss probate and what needs to be done. You can then decide whether to proceed with our help or whether you may be able to handle the estate administration by yourself.
