Partner & Head of Family Department

Suzanne Daley is a highly experienced family law specialist and Head of the Family Department at Bell Lamb & Joynson.

Qualifying as a solicitor in 2005, Suzanne has practised exclusively in family law throughout her career, developing a strong reputation across Liverpool and the wider Northern Circuit. She joined BLJ in 2012 and was quickly promoted to Partner, reflecting both her legal expertise and her leadership within the department.

Expertise

Suzanne is a trained mediator and has been an accredited member of the Children Panel since 2014, a recognised quality mark for practitioners representing children in complex proceedings.

Her practice focuses predominantly on public law children work. She regularly represents children, through their court appointed Guardian, in care proceedings and matters involving local authorities.

Suzanne is particularly experienced in handling complex and sensitive cases, including:

  • Non-accidental injuries
  • Allegations of sexual abuse
  • Fabricated or induced illness

Recognition & Awards

In 2026, Suzanne was named Professional Services Winner at the Merseyside Women of the Year Awards, recognising her outstanding contribution to both the legal profession and the wider community.

Suzanne is known for her professional yet approachable style. She provides clear, confident advice while supporting clients through what are often complex and highly emotional situations.

As Head of Department, she leads and develops a growing team, ensuring consistently high standards of client care, advocacy, and technical expertise across the Family Law team.

Community & Interests

Suzanne is a trustee of the Bell Lamb & Joynson Foundation and actively supports the Owen McVeigh Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting children and their families affected by cancer.

Outside of work, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family and supporting the charities she feels strongly about, often through fundraising events.
