Rebekah Tymoszycki
Crime Team Assistant
Rebekah Tymoszycki is a member of the Criminal Defence Team at Bell Lamb & Joynson, supporting solicitors and fee earners with the day-to-day management of criminal cases. She plays an important role in ensuring files are opened efficiently, clients are supported from the outset, and cases progress smoothly through the early stages of the legal process.
Rebekah joined the firm in February 2024 and successfully completed her Business Administration Apprenticeship in March 2025. Although she had no previous experience in criminal defence before joining the firm, she quickly developed an interest in the area and became a member of the Crime team in September 2025.
Since joining the department, Rebekah has developed a strong understanding of criminal law procedures and the practical steps involved in managing cases from initial enquiry through to ongoing representation.
Role in the Criminal Defence Team
Rebekah supports the Criminal Defence Team with a range of administrative and case management tasks, including:
Opening and onboarding new client files
Setting up police station matters
Assisting fee earners with the management of case files
Preparing and submitting Legal Aid applications
Supporting the team with day-to-day case administration
Her organised and proactive approach helps ensure matters are handled efficiently and that clients receive timely updates and support.
Approach & Client Care
Rebekah understands that many clients contacting the firm are experiencing stressful and unfamiliar situations. She takes a supportive and empathetic approach, aiming to provide reassurance and clear communication while ensuring clients feel comfortable reaching out with any questions.
Her background working with vulnerable individuals has helped shape her calm and understanding approach when supporting clients during difficult circumstances.
Experience & Background
Prior to joining Bell Lamb & Joynson, Rebekah gained seven years’ experience in customer service, developing strong communication and interpersonal skills. She also spent a year working as a support worker in a rehabilitation centre, where she supported individuals facing challenging personal circumstances.
Future Development
Rebekah is keen to continue developing her career within criminal defence. She hopes to complete her Police Station Accreditation within the next year and to continue progressing within the Criminal Defence Department.
