Trainee Solicitor

Libby is a Trainee Solicitor at Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors, working within the Family team. She supports clients involved in public law matters, including care proceedings and pre proceedings, assisting on cases that are often complex and emotionally challenging.

She has been with Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors for four years and has progressed internally, gaining experience across different departments before moving into the Family team in July 2024.

Education and Qualifications

Libby studied law at Liverpool John Moores University, graduating with a 2:1 LLB Law degree. She is currently studying with Data Law in preparation for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination, completing SQE 1 and SQE 2.

Professional Experience and Background

Libby joined Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors four years ago, initially working within the Conveyancing New Business team. This role provided her with a strong grounding in client care and legal processes before she transitioned into the Family team.

Since moving into Family law in July 2024, Libby has developed her experience in public law matters and continues to build her knowledge and skills as part of her training towards qualification as a solicitor.

Areas of Work

Libby regularly supports public law family matters, including care proceedings and pre proceedings. She assists with case preparation and progression, working closely with colleagues to ensure matters are handled carefully and efficiently.

Approach and Client Care

Libby takes a calm and supportive approach when working with clients, while also being clear and direct when explaining legal processes and next steps. She understands the importance of providing reassurance and structure, particularly for clients involved in challenging family situations.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Libby enjoys reading and going for walks, valuing time away from the office to relax and recharge.
