Helen Hynes
Operations Manager
Helen is the Operations Manager at Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors and brings more than twenty years of experience working within law firms. She studied at Harrytown RC High School in Stockport, achieving ten GCSEs at grades A–C, and later completed a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification with ILM. Her background in legal operations and team management has shaped her into a confident and capable leader who supports the firm’s people, and long‑term development.
Helen has managed teams in law firms for around fifteen years and has worked as an Operations Manager for more than five. She joined Bell Lamb & Joynson to continue her career within a well established firm with a strong reputation. Her experience across multiple legal environments has given her a deep understanding of how to create efficient systems, support staff and maintain high standards across the business.
Areas of Work
Helen’s role is focused on operational leadership rather than legal casework. She oversees processes, supports teams and ensures the firm runs smoothly across all departments.
Professional Background & Skills
Alongside her legal operations experience, Helen has spent over ten years as a director of the local charity St Helens Mind. This work has strengthened her leadership abilities and strategic thinking. She is a natural problem solver and a practical thinker who builds strong relationships with colleagues. Her ability to motivate teams and empathise with others plays a key part in her approach to management.
Approach & Client Care
Helen believes in being clear and realistic with both colleagues and clients. She focuses on delivering what she promises and approaches client care with the same level of attention she would give to a friend or family member’s case. Her straightforward style and commitment to consistency help build trust across the firm.
Outside of Work
Helen was awarded the RFL Social Rugby Volunteer of the Year Award in 2025 for her work establishing a women’s masters rugby league team in her local town. She holds a Level 2 coaching qualification in rugby and coaches two teams at Thatto Heath Crusaders: the women’s masters and the under‑8s. She has also recently been appointed to the board of Women’s Rugby at Warrington Wolves to help shape the future of the women’s game at the club, with a formal announcement pending.
