Head of Contentious Probate and Disputes

Ashleigh Wong joined us in August 2025 as the Head of the Contentious Probate and Disputes Department.

Ashleigh Wong leads the firm’s Contentious Probate and Disputes team, bringing extensive experience to complex matters involving contested wills, Inheritance Act 1975 claims and trust and estate disputes. She is regularly instructed in high-value cases involving allegations of fraud, undue influence, breach of trust, proprietary estoppel and misappropriation of assets. Ashleigh has a particular focus on protecting the vulnerable, with specialist expertise in financial and elder abuse.

Known for her strategic, clear advice and exceptional client care, Ashleigh is trusted to navigate emotionally charged and complex disputes. Her meticulous and measured approach ensures clients feel supported and empowered, even in the most challenging situations.

Work Highlights

  • Acting for the successful claimants in setting aside a later Will on the grounds of fraud, undue influence, financial and elder abuse and lack of testamentary capacity. Successfully obtained possession of the estate property.
  • Acting for a successful claimant in the removal of his co-executor, the linked accounting claim, occupational rent and possession proceedings.
  • Securing a successful settlement in an intestacy case involving an inquest and the disposal of the body of the deceased.
  • Acting for claimants and defendants in claims brought under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and achieving settlement without the need to issue proceedings.
  • Assisting the successful defendant in the case of Tucker v Felton-Page & Ors [2025] EWHC 530 (Ch).
  • Assisting in a catastrophic injury claim and securing a multi million pound settlement in a joint settlement meeting ahead of trial.
  • Acting for a beneficiary in relation to rectification of a will.

Outside the office, Ashleigh is a passionate yoga teacher and values the balance it brings to her professional life. Walks with her two dogs are her daily reset, with the Lake District being her favourite retreat.
