Halton Haven Hospice Legal Clinic

Halton Haven Hospice in Runcorn is a charity that is close to our hearts and one that we support. They provide end-of-life care to those in our local community who need it.

We love giving back to our local communities, and there are so many ways to do this, from raising money to volunteering your time.

We are pleased to support Halton Haven Hospice by providing our time and legal expertise. Starting on 31st March 2023, our Private Client team will be onsite the last Friday of every month from 9 am to 12 pm to provide residents, their families, and the local community with free legal advice about Wills, Probate, and Powers of Attorney.

A bit about Halton Haven Hospice

Since 1981, Halton Haven Hospice has been providing specialised palliative care to individuals with terminal illnesses from Halton and neighbouring areas. Their palliative care focuses on supporting patients physically, psychologically, and emotionally to help them maintain their desired quality of life for as long as possible.

The Hospice has a 12-bed In-Patient Unit (IPU) for end-of-life and palliative care, as well as a Day Hospice Clinic that provides treatment, support, assessment, rehabilitation, and therapy for those living with a life-limiting diagnosis. Additionally, their patients, families, and the local community benefit from their Community Cabin, a woodland trail, and extensive gardens.

Support for Halton Haven Hospice:

Although the hospice receives some funding from the NHS, they are an independent charity that relies on donations, fundraising events, its weekly lottery, and legacy contributions from supporters to operate. It is remarkable to note that seven out of every 12 patients are cared for thanks to community donations. Without this support, the hospice wouldn't be able to continue providing care to those who need it.
