Criminal Defence Team

Ariana Lea joined the Criminal Defence Team at Bell Lamb & Joynson in February 2026, bringing a decade of legal experience and a strong background across both public sector and private practice roles.

She holds a law degree from the University of Liverpool and went on to complete her LPC and Master’s at the University of Law. Ariana is currently working towards her Police Station Accreditation with Cardiff University as she continues to develop her career in criminal defence.

Before joining Bell Lamb & Joynson, Ariana worked at Vienna Kang Advocates, a well-known criminal defence firm, where she supported solicitors and advocates across a range of criminal matters. Prior to this, she spent four years working at the Ministry of Justice, gaining valuable insight into the wider justice system and strengthening her understanding of how cases progress through the courts.

At Bell Lamb & Joynson, Ariana supports the Criminal Defence Team with case preparation, client communication and general case management, helping ensure matters run smoothly while providing reassurance to clients during what can often be a stressful and uncertain time.

Approach & Client Care

Ariana is known for her calm and approachable manner. She is passionate about developing her advocacy and client care skills and is committed to supporting individuals with empathy, professionalism and clear communication throughout the legal process.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Ariana enjoys spending time with her family and her two young children. She loves to travel and enjoys staying active through MMA training, going to the gym and spending time outdoors on long walks.
