Ruby Toner        

Ruby Toner is a Marketing Assistant at Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors, supporting the firm’s marketing activity across digital content, social media and events. Having developed her career internally through multiple departments, Ruby brings a strong understanding of the firm, its services and its culture to the Marketing team.

She joined Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors in March 2023 and has progressed through several roles within the business, with her growing involvement in creative projects leading to her move into marketing full time in March 2026.

Education and Qualifications

Ruby completed a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship at Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors, developing a strong foundation in professional communication and business operations within a legal environment.

Professional Experience and Background

Ruby began her career at Adams Real Estate in Widnes, working as an Office Administrator during the summer holidays. This early experience sparked her interest in the property sector and helped her develop strong organisational and client focused administrative skills.

She joined Bell Lamb & Joynson Solicitors in March 2023 as part of the Business Operational Support Team. In October 2023, Ruby moved into the Conveyancing New Business Department, where she supported new client enquiries and business development activity.

During this time, Ruby became part of the Bricks & Banter Podcast team, supporting the podcast’s social media presence and assisting with content creation. She attended multiple industry events, including the Modern Law Awards and the British Conveyancing Awards, and took part in recording live Christmas podcast specials in Manchester.

This experience played a key role in developing Ruby’s interest in marketing and communications, leading to her transition into the Marketing team on a full time basis in March 2026.

Areas of Work

In her role as Marketing Assistant, Ruby supports a wide range of marketing and communications activity across the firm. This includes managing and creating content for the firm’s social media channels, supporting updates and improvements to the company website, and assisting with the planning, coordination and attendance of corporate and community events.

She also helps to deliver marketing campaigns that strengthen the firm’s brand presence and client engagement, working closely with colleagues across departments to showcase the firm’s people, services and culture.

Approach and Working Style

Ruby enjoys working creatively and collaboratively, with a strong interest in brand engagement. She is organised in her approach and values working closely with teams across the firm to bring ideas to life.

Outside of Work

Outside of work, Ruby enjoys hiking and going to the gym. She is a passionate supporter of Manchester United and enjoys staying active in her free time.
