Pat joined the firm in 1974 as a Personal Assistant to the Senior Litigation Partner on Wirral, specialising in family related issues. After a brief absence following the birth of her children Pat returned to study law at John Moore’s University, qualifying as a Legal Executive. After several years employed as a fee earner with a substantial client base in private law family matters Pat was made a Fellow of the Institute in 1998, and in the same year developed a keen interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution following which Pat completed her training in Family Mediation.
Pat gained experience in all family related issues including domestic violence, children contact issues and property and finance disputes. In 2005 Pat was appointed by the then Department of Constitutional Affairs as lead mediator for Merseyside in the Government’s first mediation awareness campaign.
As mediation has become more popular as a way of resolving family disputes, Pat now practices mediation on a full time basis located in the Liverpool City Centre office.

This led to a number of training sessions and seminars for the legal profession in understanding the benefits of family mediation when advising their clients.
Pat is an extremely enthusiastic mediator who enjoys helping parties in sometimes very sad situations to achieve a better understanding with each other in the hope that they can enjoy a more positive outlook in the future.
As mediation has become more popular as a way of resolving most family disputes Pat now finds herself practicing mediation on a full-time basis located in our City City Centre office at Suite G15, The Cotton Exchange, (Bixteth Street).
Personal
Pat is married with two grown up children and a 3 year old grand-daughter. Her interests include the theatre and Pat is also a member of the Birkenhead Operatic Society with whom she has played many leading roles on the Liverpool Empire stage and is a vocalist with a swing band.
