| BARRY DAVID COOPER LLB |
| |
Barry obtained an LLB with Honours from Manchester University in 1972.
Barry qualified as a Solicitor in 1975, having joined Bell & Joynson, as it then was, in July 1973 to complete his training.
He opened Bell & Joynson’s Runcorn Office in 1977 and has remained in Runcorn ever since, overseeing the growth of the office from four staff to its current level of eighteen staff.
Barry became a Partner with Bell & Joynson in 1979.
Barry now specialises in family work, particularly child care, but continues to deal with Conveyancing, Wills and Probate, Landlord and Tenant matters and Civil Litigation for clients who he has represented over many years and new clients who are recommended to him.
Barry spends some of his time at the firm’s Weaverham Office, which has a loyal client following from the local community.
Barry is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and Family Law Panel and in addition, sits part time as a Deputy District Judge in the County Court.
Personal
Barry is a Governor of two local primary schools, a role he has fulfilled for over 20 years, a Trustee of a local charity, which supports retired people and secretary to the PCC of Aston St. Peter’s Parish Church (although most of the work is done by his office secretary Helen Carmichael who, as most clients know, is the real source of all reliable information).
Barry is married with a grown up daughter, who has recently qualified as a vet. He still plays tennis for Tarvin Tennis Club, where he is Honoury President, although struggles to walk downstairs on the morning after matches.
Having supported Tranmere Rovers for over 50 years it is surprising that he can remain cheerful.
He enjoys all sport, music, walking and travel.
